The art of dance is something that has always been an enigma for me.  My art is something that I first see in my mind and then express with my hands.  My body is not graceful or coordinated.  When I was a small girl, I loved watching ballerinas.  Their small, fragile build and delicate hands and feet moved gracefully across the stage as if they were floating.  I wanted to fly. 

I love watching dancers even today.  I love seeing the body move fluidly and muscles stretch and flex.  Our bodies are miraculous and I am always amazed at the results of discipline and dedication.

My dear friend Krista agreed to let me try to capture her spirit while she danced.  She is dance.  My friend never slouches or scuffs her feet.  She walks upright and exudes grace with every step.  She is spectacular!
